From the deepest depths of the Netherlands music scene, an eclectic rock band with an strange twist. Hessa is a band from the Netherlands, and we perform a wet, hot, loud and a bit of sexy rock music. After years and years it was by accident that we met again, somewhere in the streets of Rotterdam. After some drinks at a local bar, we decided to start the band again. Everybody was excited and filled with a lot of energy and creativity for a next round of rock and roll. We named the band Hessa. It was a new beginning and it felt like coming home.
It feels like pure magic again. It pounds, it growls, the rhythm section is solid as a rock. And really important we create a kick-ass sound which is really good.
Hessa just finished working on there first EP with 5 catchy songs on it. We recorded the songs at Michels studio in Brielle, the Netherlands. It is mixed and mastered and produced by our good friend Cani M. Ceaser from Barcelona.
The recordings are finished and the release has happened. Our songs are available in the web-store's on Itunes, Spotify, Amazon MP3, Deezer and so on.
"Hessa is a female fronted rock group based out of The Netherlands which in February 2013 released their new EP titled "Learn to Walk". Now I'm really digging the mix of musical influence within their music, it's as if you cannot pinpoint one solidarity. Fronted by Jeanette (vocalist) the lyrics roll off with so much mixed emotion & power that one song just isn't enough.
Listening to all of the tracks on this EP, a few really stick to my brain like "On My Own" and "Help Me" which all of them you can hear on their Official Website. "On My Own" really makes you think a lot as to how life can take you in all directions until you actually realize what it is you need to do for yourself, while at the same time just being a lone within a shell and how we all have to deal. This track is beautifully put together, loving the progressions and builds.
These songs will for sure be in our Itunes collection, as we feel you should have them too.
