Amanda Walker is a lifelong musician and songwriter. She was born and raised in Dexter, MO. Her mother taught piano and played in various bands and in church, giving Amanda the opportunity to learn music from an extremely young age. After years of piano lessons, Amanda shelved music for a few years while she took on Division I tennis at Southeast Missouri State University, where she completed undergraduate school before New Orleans drew her south to acquire her Juris doctorate Degree from Tulane Law School. The first week of her last year of law school, Hurricane Katrina blasted New Orleans and the surrounding area, rendering the area nearly uninhabitable for months. Amanda relocated to Columbia, Missouri, where she attended University of Missouri School of Law that semester.

The impact of this experience threw her back into songwriting, mostly as catharsis, but the spark caught fire. Almost immediately upon her return to New Orleans, it became apparent that there was no escaping the music.

After a celebratory dinner with a lifelong friend, she ended up behind the piano of a French Quarter restaurant, was immediately offered a residency, and the rest is history. Amanda landed at Rabadash Records for her first album, and as the gigs built and the songs kept flowing, she was able to completely relinquish practicing law and focus completely on her musical craft. She independently released a second album, Long Way Down, featuring the single Haunt Me in 2018.

She subsequently reached #2 on ReverbNation's global indie chart and performed Haunt Me on NCIS New Orleans. Amanda is currently thrilled to be part of the Last Honky Tonk Music Series and is currently touring on her latest EP, Fragile Like A Bomb, and has recently relocated to Nashville, TN.
