Tom DiCillo is a pioneering American independent film director/writer whose films have garnered worldwide recognition. His first film, Johnny Suede, starring Brad Pitt, won the Best Picture at the Locarno Film Festival. His black comedy, Living In Oblivion, starring Peter Dinklage in his first film, won Best Screenplay at the Sundance Film Festival. DiCillo wrote and directed When You're Strange, the Grammy-winning documentary about The Doors, narrated by Johnny Depp.

DiCillo is also an accomplished musician. In addition to scoring music for his own films, DiCillo also released his debut album, Hurt Me Tender, in 2013. The rockabilly, spaghetti western-tinged tracks were recorded in collaboration with his band, The Black & Blue Orkestre, consisting of DiCillo, Will Crewdson and Grog Lisee.

Tom's new album, Shot of Blue, is a collection of 12 original songs that tangle with love in all its agony, ecstasy and the many things in between. Not surprisingly, the imagery in the album is richly cinematic.

"It was a big step to commit to working solely on music for 4 years," DiCillo says. "Instead of poking at it on weekends like I used to, I devoted days, months and years to this album."

WALTZ is the second single from Tom DiCillo's new album SHOT OF BLUE. He wrote and directed this video, which captures a rare moment in time for a young couple on the verge of change. Through the mix of B&W and color, the video creates a lush, emotional blend of fantasy and reality, like a cinematic dream. DiCillo wrote and performed the song. He is joined by James Fearnley, formerly of The Pogues and now of The Walker Roaders, on accordion.

DiCillo directed the video.......Genre: Alt Rock, Alt Pop, Blues, Neo Surf
